Milos Sarcev, a renowned bodybuilding coach, recently revealed the most coachable bodybuilder he has ever trained. On Episode 292 of The Menace Podcast, Sarcev named Hidetada Yamagishi as his most suggestible student.

Sarcev’s announcement came during a discussion about the results of the 2026 Mr. Big Evolution Pro, where Jordan Hutchinson took the top spot in the Open division. Sarcev, a former Mr. Yugoslavia and Mr. Universe, has built a reputation as one of the most knowledgeable tutors in the competitive bodybuilding circuit.

When asked by host Dennis “The Menace” James to choose the most coachable bodybuilder he has worked with, Sarcev didn’t hesitate. “I gotta give it to Hide (Hidetada Yamagishi),” he said, citing Yamagishi’s dedication and work ethic.

According to Sarcev, Yamagishi “never complained” and “executed everything” he was asked to do, including twice-daily training sessions, six days a week. This dynamic allowed the two to establish a highly successful partnership, with Yamagishi going on to win the Masters Olympia in the 212 category as recently as 2023.

Sarcev first met Yamagishi at the 2006 Ironman Pro and was impressed by his potential. He invited Yamagishi to train with him, and their partnership flourished. Sarcev recalled their first meeting, saying, “I took one of my Koloseum (gym) shirts, gave it to him, and told him, let’s go. Straight into crazy leg training.”

This partnership serves as a reminder that Sarcev could work similar magic with his new client, Hadi Choopan, a contender for the 2026 Mr. Olympia.
